My daughter is going to the wedding of one of her college roommates this summer, and the wedding is being held in Texas. She wants a dress in natural fibers, but not a clingy knit. We have been looking at patterns:
This dress, McCall’s 5973, was her first choice because it can be made in a woven fabric, and she thinks it will showcase whatever jewelry she wears. She designs and makes her own jewelry so that would be important.
Now that I have the IKEA chests full of patterns, I sorted them all out so that one drawer is dresses, one separates, etc. When my daughter needed to look through the dress patterns, it was sooooo much easier to have them all in one drawer than scattered all over the place in many boxes. I think I am going to like having my sewing stuff organized.
