The apron and placemat set shown on the front cover of this booklet is a little more modern in tone. This ‘hostess set’ is sewn from what looks like a polished cotton and is trimmed with a wide band of crochet in coordinating colors.
The blue apron set also has the curved bottom edge seen on some of the aprons shown yesterday, and is trimmed with crocheted butterfly motifs.
This set is one of my favorites because of the ‘South-of-the-Border’ vibe it has. The pieces are trimmed with rows of different-colored single crochet and are finished off with a row of black with decorative picots.
Today I hope to sew a little, and I would like to get another skirt cut out. I know this is not likely to happen, but at least I can give it a try.
