I basted the narrow bias binding around the neckline, and I am stitching it down by hand with tiny stitches. This is taking awhile to do since it is raining yet again in sunny California and there are low light levels. The needle is the photo is not making a stitch but just resting off to the side.
I am thinking that I need to start another Mexican top so that I can have a hand-embroidery project to carry around with me when I am doing errands that involve a lot of waiting around. I could keep the project in a little plastic bag in my purse, which would take up a lot less room than a knitting project. I have a few colors of cotton yardage that would look best with one-color embroidery such as white on chocolate brown or dark green, but I would also like to try red on bright yellow.
