Those dishtowels were wonderful to sew, and the finished garment feels like it will be very comfortable.
When I was ready to cut out the sleeves, I folded tucks in four places on the sleeve pattern to take out excess width since A does not like puffed sleeves. Somehow I took out the perfect amount, and the sleeve cap fit in just right without being either too big or too small.
This is easily the best free-motion machine embroidery I have ever done, so I guess I am improving after all. I used Maxi-Lock thread which is usually used for serging and sewing, and it worked really well. The colors are great and this thread is not at all expensive if you buy it from Atlanta Thread & Supply Company. I have ordered from them online and the service was very good.
I’m not sure what the next project will be, but probably another blouse for the younger daughter.
