I’ve always wanted to try thread painting. That’s where the machine is set on zigzag and you move the fabric sideways in free-motion embroidery to fill in an area. I found that having a visible stitched outline helps me a lot not to overshoot the design lines.
I still have more red and green outlines to stitch, but I am nearly done. This will be the yoke of a peasant top for the younger daughter. This is the same design from DMC’s Czechoslovakian Embroidery that I used for a dress back in the 70’s, but I enlarged it in a copier. I want to put crochet trim on the top, and I am thinking white, or yellow.
